If you cannot see the "install" button on the details page, it likely means that your team has not licensed the particular process or need to request access to our new Limited Availability content. Please submit a Service Desk request and we will look into it for you.

Analysts require the 'Create Package' permission for Studio to be able to install an Instrument. This can be set by any team admin in the team Permissions view.

The partner is notified immediately of your request. The Partner and your Celonis representative will work with you to define the next steps for you to access the Partner Solution.

Yes, you can use the search bar to search for any process or any other criteria, even if the value doesn't exist in one of the predefined filters. The search results will show all content types relevant for your search.

Action Engine

If users can not access the 'My Inbox' page, the corresponding permissions are missing. See User Roles for further information on how to set these permissions.

If your Skill does not produce any Signals, this might be due to different reasons. Therefore:

  • First check if your Skill produces any Signals at all in the Skills configuration.

  • Second, check if the execution was successful on the Skills overview page.

  • Third, check if the relevant business user is part of the respective Routing Rule determining which user should see which Signal.

Go to the Skills page, then you can find the last execution date of the respective Skill in the column “Last Execution”.

Check the following aspects:

  • Are the corresponding Data Models loaded? If not, reload it.

  • Does the Skill preview work? If not, check for errors in the filters or table statements.

  • If you are routing the Signals based on Data Model column, first check if the column is chosen from the same Data model. Check the Routing Table preview:

If this results in an error, this is might be related to the chosen Signal ID. Action Engine is trying to filter on the Signal ID of your signals. Contact the Service Desk to describe this problem.

  • The first thing to check is if the users are part of the routing rule.

  • If the user is part of the routing rule, and you are routing the Signals based on Data Model column, check the Routing Table preview

If this results in an empty table, this is related to the chosen Signal ID. Action Engine is filtering on the Signal ID of your signals, which can result in problems for floating values and timestamps that actually exhibit millisecond precision as part of the Signal ID. If you can round numbers to integers and timestamps to seconds, this should solve the issues.

  • If the preview looks okay, but still you are missing some Signals, this can happen if actually filtering uniquely on your signals is impossible. Try to add a unique identifier that one can filter on.

Please check if the name of the column in the Signal configuration is still corresponding with the name of your placeholder. If not, please delete the placeholder and add it again.

Probably the Data Model is not loaded, please check the availability of your data model.

Alternatively, check if the placeholder statement is still correct. When changing Signal attributes or their data type, this might result in an error for the Filter Template.

Whenever you change the definition of your Signal ID, the Filter Template for your Details Table is automatically overwritten.

Yes, you can execute several dependent queries on one Data Model. The easiest way to implement this, is to use the pipelining function and execute several steps.

We recommend the following 2-step workflow to systematically omit and exclude Signals for certain attribute constellations.

  1. The business user can request the exclusion of a given attribute via the Feedback button as shown in the picture. He should provide reasoning such that the Analyst and Skill owner can judge the validity of the request.

  2. The Skill owner will receive an email with the feedback. The feedback will also be shown in the skill configuration. Having checked the request, the Skill owner can add an additional filter in the Skill definition, e.g. a Column Filter excluding certain values.

Data Integration

The EMS endpoint cannot be reached from the server that the on-premise Extractor is running on. This could be related to:

Please check that the HANA database actually uses a DATE column or a DATETIME column and not a string column like NVARCHAR. If the column is NVARCHAR you can still use filters, but you have to use string values or text parameters instead of dates.

  1. Acquire a certificate for the domain you want to connect to and store it somewhere memorable.

  2. Navigate to the folder in your jre where "cacerts" is located. This is usually: .../jre/lib/security

  3. Open a terminal window from this folder

  4. Run the following two commands, to import the certificate from step 1.

keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass <KEYSTORE-PASSWORD> -noprompt -alias alias -file <PATH TO CERTIFICATE>

By default, KEYSTORE-PASSWORD is "changeit", without quotes.

You receive this error if the owner of your database is a domain user. This can be fixed by making e.g. the user SA the owner of your database.

Most likely, you do not have Java 64-bit installed. Please make sure that this is installed by typing the following in the command line:

java -version # should result in something like "Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.181-b13, mixed mode)"

If it is not 64-bit, please download the Open JDK version or the official Oracle release and make sure that it is the 64-bit server version.

Another cause might be that you try to run our software on a 32-bit operating system which is unfortunately not supported.

Transformation Center

The Transformation Center will collect a new data point for your objective's KPI whenever the data model was successfully reloaded. Your data model reloads therefore will always be in sync with the data history on the Transformation Center's Objectives. For an hourly data model reload schedule would result in an objective data history like:

You can define which data point will be shown as the current value in the objective's settings. Dependent on the setting the current value will always be the last value per hour, day, week, or month. In the same way, the values for the trend chart are selected.

How you see the values in the objective is of course dependent on your current day and time. For the following examples assume it is 2018-12-03 16:23
