Set up server for on-prem Agent

Responsibility: Server/ infrastructure administrator

Access Rights

Administrative rights are required for installing and setting up the Celonis Agent. Once the setup is done, it can run in a normal user context.

Please find the system requirements for the server below:

Hardware

  • 4GB memory

  • CPU 2 cores

  • 10GB free disk space

Information

The Celonis Agent can run on the Extractor Server on which the on-premise SAP Extractor is running.

If you wish to run Celonis Agent and SAP Extractor on the same server please add the following to the recommended server sizings for the Extractor Server hardware:

Operating system and software

  • 64-bit Operating System:

    • Windows (full support; Operating Systems e.g. Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, Windows 2012 R2)

    • Linux (partial support; Operating Systems e.g. Fedora 27, Ubuntu 20)

    • MacOs (including Macs with M1 processors)

      Your Operating System is not on the list above?

      The Operating systems are recommendations and any system that can run Java 11 can be used

  • Java (JRE) 11 64-bit (OpenJDK 11 is also supported, we recommend AdoptiumOpenJDK 11, see https://adoptium.net/?variant=openjdk11).

  • For Windows:

  • For SAP ECC:

    • SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo), available for download on the SAP Marketplace.

    Note

    This is only required when automating in SAP. Please make sure to select the correct operational system e.g. Windows when downloading the jco.)
