Installing the Task Mining Configuration Editor (optional)

Note

You use the Configuration Editor to configure advanced client settings for Task Mining projects. If you won’t be creating or updating Task Mining configuration files or will be using basic client settings only, you don’t need to install the Configuration Editor. For more information, see Configuring Task Mining projects.

User enables Advanced Client settings when configuring a Task Mining project and the Configuration Editor install file is downloaded if not already installed.

User realizes when configuring a Task Mining project that more advanced configuration settings are required.

Note

The install process is the same for both options except in this option, the Task Mining Configuration Editor installation zip file is downloaded automatically.

Installing the Configuration Editor

  1. Download the Task Mining Configuration Editor installation zip file.

    The Task Mining Configuration Editor installation zip file downloads to your machine.

  2. Navigate to your Downloads folder and extract all files from the Task Mining Configuration Editor installation zip file.

  3. Double-click the installer file.

    The Celonis Task Mining Configuration Setup Wizard appears.

  4. Step through the wizard, referring to the Task Mining software install settings as necessary.

  5. Select Finish when the Completed the Celonis Task Mining - Configuration Editor Setup Wizard screen appears.

  6. Search for Celonis Task Mining - Configuration Editor in your Windows task bar to open the Configuration Editor,

    The Celonis Task Mining Configuration Editor user interface appears.
