On-premise extractor system requirements
An on-premise server needs to run both Celonis SAP Extractor and Celonis on-Prem Agent. For this we recommend the following system requirements.
Tip
Unless you're using an older version of SAP, 4.6C or earlier or you use PO/PI, we recommend installing the SAP Extractor as part of the on-prem client installation process. See Installing.
Virtual machine or physical server.
CPU: Minimum of an Intel Xeon processor with four cores.
RAM: minimum of 16 GB.
Disk space: minimum of 110 GB. This can be on a separate partition or network drive.
The server needs to be located in the same network as the source systems that you're going to connect.
Note
The operating systems are suggestions. You can use any system that can run Java 17.
You need administrative rights for setup.
64-bit operating system:
Windows Server: 2019 and 2022. The earliest supported version is 2012 R2.
Ubuntu: 18.04 LTS (tested version). Newer versions are supported.
Red Hat: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 (tested version). Newer versions are supported.
SUSE: SUSE Enterprise Linux (SLES) 12 and 15 (tested version). Newer versions are supported.
Oracle: Oracle Linux 6 and 7 (tested version). Newer versions are supported.
Java 17 64-bit - the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is what's required.
OpenJDK 17 is also supported - we recommend Adoptium's Eclipse Temurin OpenJDK 17, see Adoptium - Eclipse Temurin - Latest Releases.
For SAP ECC, on Windows install both of these Visual C++ packages:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package (x64), available for download here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3179560/update-for-visual-c-2013-and-visual-c-redistributable-package.
Note
You need both of these package versions - the newer ones don't have the required libraries.
For the JDBC Extractor, on Windows download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable Package (x64).
