Installing the Sailfin Accounts Receivable app in your Celonis team

Before you download and install the Sailfin Accounts Receivable app from the Celonis Marketplace, complete the prerequisites in Prerequisites for the Sailfin Accounts Receivable app suite. Also set up the data pipeline as explained in Setting up the case-centric data pipeline for the Sailfin Accounts Receivable app suite (if you’re using a case-centric data model), or Setting up the object-centric data pipeline for the Sailfin Accounts Receivable app suite (if you're using an object-centric data model).

The part of the Sailfin Accounts Receivable app suite that you install in your Celonis team is a single app package. There’s a version for case-centric data models, and a version for object-centric data models. This app in Celonis interfaces with all of the apps in the Sailfin Accounts Receivable app suite.

If you need to get help with any of the app’s prerequisites or setup steps, ask your Celonis point of contact (Account Executive or Value Engineer), or raise a Service Desk ticket as explained in Contacting Support.

Here’s how to install the Sailfin Accounts Receivable app in Celonis:

  1. Open the Celonis Marketplace from the Celonis navigation menu, and search for “Sailfin”. The app for case-centric data models is called “Sailfin AR Apps”. The app for object-centric data models is called “Sailfin AR Apps (Object Centric)”. Click the app’s tile to see the full details and make sure you have the correct version of the app.

  2. Select Request Access to request the app. In your request, provide this information so we can validate the request:

    • Your name, email address, and organization.

    • The name and email address of your Celonis point of contact (Account Executive or Value Engineer).

Your request is forwarded to the product team. They’ll need 1-2 business days to review your request with your account team, then they’ll give you access to the app and provide you with the additional setup documentation.

  3. When you’ve completed the custom setup and all of the prerequisites, go back to the Celonis Marketplace and select Get it now to download the app.

  4. In Celonis, choose a Studio space to install the app in. You can use an existing Studio space or create a new one. (You can move the app after installation.) Click Confirm to proceed with the installation.

  5. In the Studio overview, find the app package in the space where you installed it, and click its tile to go to the app package.

  6. Click the Package Settings icon (the box) and select Variables.

  7. Select the Assign Data Model button, then search or browse for the case-centric data model or object-centric data model (perspective) that you’re using with the Sailfin Accounts Receivable app suite, and click to select it. Click Save to set the Data Model variable.

  8. Update the variables in the app package.  You’ll need to do this in both Studio and Apps. In each case, expand the package structure in the left navigation and select the Update Variables view.

    Fill in these variable values:

    • Group Currency - The code for your global currency (applied at the Celonis team level), for example, EUR for euros. You’ll set the display currency during the configuration of the Sailfin app environment.

    • Exchange Rate Type - The exchange rate type to use for the currency conversion. The default is M, average rate.

    • Sailfin App URL - The URL of the Sailfin app environment that’s been provisioned for you in the Salesforce cloud. Ask your Celonis point of contact (Account Executive or Value Engineer) what to put here.

  9. Select the Publish Package button to publish a version of the app package with your variable settings. Nothing is visible in Apps for end users.

  10. In your Celonis team, create a Machine Learning Workbench app to support the app suite. Creating a Machine Learning Workbench application for the Sailfin Accounts Receivable app suite has the instructions. You don’t need to publish the app package again after this.

  11. In your Sailfin app environment in the Salesforce cloud (force.com), configure the apps that you’re using from the Sailfin Accounts Receivable app suite. Configuring the Sailfin Accounts Receivable app suite tells you how.
