Configuring settings for the object-centric Payment Term Checker app
Use the Payment Term Checker app’s Settings view to configure the app’s variables. In the Settings view, you can change the currency variable (which defaults to euros, EUR), and these variables that influence the strategy used by the app:
PO/Non-PO Invoice differentiation - Choose Yes If you only want to compare payment terms on PO invoices against linked purchase orders. Choose No (the default) if you want to compare payment terms on all invoices, both PO and non-PO, against all purchase orders (if available) and against master data.
Payment Behavior Relevance - Choose Yes if you want to use the actual payment behavior when calculating the free cash flow impact. The app will then ignore the invoice payment term and consider when an invoice was actually paid (or the current date for open documents). Choose No (the default) if you want to use the invoice payment term for the calculation. For example, let’s say a transaction has a purchase order payment term of 30 days, and an invoice payment term of 10 days, and the invoice is cleared after 15 days. With the Yes option, the free cash flow calculation uses (30 days - 15 days). With the No option, the free cash flow calculation uses (30 days - 10 days).
The values that you set for the variables in these views are used for the Knowledge Model variables in the Payment Term Checker app’s Knowledge Model.
Important
After you publish an app for the first time, changing variable values in the Settings view in Studio doesn’t change their values in Apps. The Payment Term Checker app needs to be published right away to create the augmentation tables. So you’ll need to work with the view in the Apps area in order for the values of the settings to be applied for end users. It’s best to keep the two sets of variable values in sync so that your results in Studio match those in Apps.
Here’s how to work with the Settings view in Apps:
In the Celonis navigation menu, select Apps.
Find the Payment Term Checker app in the space where you installed it, and click its tile.
Select the Settings view in the Configuration & Value Framing folder.
Update the values of any variables that you need to. If you haven’t selected a value, the app is using the default value.
When you’ve finished configuring the settings, make the same changes to the settings in the Studio package for the app, to keep them in sync.
Tip
When you’ve finished setup and the app is in use by business users, to avoid accidental changes, consider limiting the availability of the Settings view. You could restrict it to a specific group of business users who are responsible for making adjustments to the variable values.
