Exploring variants

The Explore deviating variants screen provides an overview of all variants for each object type, shows the individual steps in each variant and highlights any steps that are not in alignment with the defined process. With this view, Analysts can get a sense of how the current process conforms to the target model.

By exploring your process variants, you can see:

  • List of variants: You can see exactly where steps are skipped or loops occur

  • Average end to end time: Find out exactly how long a process takes and where optimization can be made.

  • Conformance checking: See a percentage of how many cases are affected by a particular variant.

Before you begin, ensure you have completed the following steps or meet the requirements listed below:

    1. Total count of cases for the selected variants (Cases).

    2. Weighted percentage of the events that flow through each variant (Coverage).

    3. Average end-to-end throughput time for each variant (Avg TPT).
