What is the problem this application solves?

Macroeconomic factors are constantly disrupting the supply chain landscape. Lead times are shifting dramatically, and consumption and replenishment patterns are continuously evolving. On the other hand, reporting on inventory KPIs is static and doesn’t highlight the latest trends and metrics. Managers run several manual reports to manually analyze data which is often outdated. Not having visibility into holistic real time data across processes inhibits a supply chain manager’s ability to evaluate inventory performance, identify inefficiencies and steer improvement initiatives.

Furthermore, supply chain data is typically siloed across different function-specific technology systems. Organizations maintain several different ERP instances based on regions and divisions. There is lack of visibility into aggregated and E2E data since data is maintained in silos across multiple systems. Lack of visibility into inventory performance and inefficiencies across systems hinders an organization’s ability to optimize working capital, reduce costs and protect service levels.

Organizations also lack insights into the upstream and downstream impact of supply chain disruptions - such as factory shutdown, raw material shortage, political events and lockdown - on the value chain.

What is the solution this application offers?

The Control Center app provides real-time inventory management insights across multiple systems and processes to monitor KPIs, identify inefficiencies and steer improvements. Data-driven inventory insights into risks and bottlenecks help improve material availability, reduce operating costs, and free up working capital.

Global and regional supply chain managers can use the app to identify emerging replenishment and consumption trends, such as demand spikes, and monitor progress against inventory performance benchmarks. SC Managers can also steer improvements through collaboration with planners, enabled by the app’s task creation and task inbox functionality.

The network explorer, enabled by Celonis’ powerful execution graph technology, provides visibility into the relationship between materials and locations in terms of KPIs. SC Managers can use the Network Explorer to assess the downstream impact of an inefficiency on the value chain, perform root cause analysis, and inform decision making.
