Material Emissions app
The Material Emissions app is designed for sustainability teams that need to report and track their emissions against targets and procurement teams that need visibility into carbon-emission hotspots within their procured materials.
With the Material Emissions app, you can:
Calculate procured material carbon emissions from material data within your SAP system(s) and certified emission factors;
Enables identification and quantification of key emission hotspots, such as inefficiencies in business processes and procurement practices;
Suggests actions such as alternative suppliers of materials that may reduce carbon-intensity.
The app allows teams to map material emissions, trigger operational actions from within Celonis Platform, as well as inform strategic decisions to reduce emissions and quantify reductions.
The Material Emissions app comes with the following views:
Mapping Materials - this is the main view that business users can use for their data validation tasks. They can flag materials for Climatiq to review or manually assign mappings.
Target Tracking - users can define a baseline year and a reduction target. After this, users are able to see how their emissions KPIs are progressing against this target, with a breakdown on several dimensions.
Deep Dive - users can identify hotspots and drill down on the cases.
Reduction Opportunities - Celonis flags POs that have reduction opportunities like a lower emissions alternative supplier. Users can identify these POs, what is the reduction potential and share this information with other stakeholders.
