Status monitoring

You can view and monitor the general availability of Celonis Platform here: https://status.celonis.com/

This is where you'll find the platform status, information about maintenance, and the option to subscribe to updates.

To ensure you have a secure, stable, and reliable experience essential scheduled work (i.e. maintenance) needs to be made regularly on the Celonis Platform. This maintenance is critical for:

  • Protecting your data: Regular updates deploy security patches to protect organizational data from evolving threats.

  • Platform speed and reliability: We optimize system components, ensuring the platform performs quickly and reliably.

  • Maintaining stability and innovation: We need to lay the infrastructure groundwork to seamlessly deliver new features with fewer disruptions for you in the future

While our engineering team continuously works to eliminate service interruptions, some scheduled downtime is necessary to minimize risk and ensure stability, notability to:

  • Prevent corruption: For major updates (e.g., core security patches, infrastructure upgrades), pausing the system prevents data loss or corruption.

  • Mitigate risk: Executing these changes during a planned, short downtime is far safer and faster than attempting complex updates while the system is live. Skipping this step would introduce a high risk of unplanned, extended, and unpredictable outages.

Finding your realm

To find your realm, look at your Celonis Platform URL and find the realm name before .celonis.cloud.

The regular maintenance process

To minimize disruption as much as possible:

  • Maintenance announcements are issued at least two weeks before scheduled downtime to allow operational planning.

  • You’ll experience downtime outside of working hours whenever possible.

All timing is communicated using Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to ensure clarity and consistency across all global regions.

Maintenance type

Definition

Fully operational

The Celonis Platform is fully accessible. You can seamlessly log in, build or view dashboards, and navigate all workspaces without any disruption. All background data refreshes, Object-Centric configurations, and automated Action Flows are executing as normal.

Partially impacted

The platform remains accessible, but specific features, data pipelines, or localized environments are experiencing temporary disruptions or slowdowns.

For example, you may be able to log in normally, but find that certain dashboard charts fail to load, or specific background data connections are temporarily blocked from updating.

Degraded performance

The Celonis Platform remains accessible and fully functional, but you may experience slower response times, prolonged dashboard rendering, or delayed query executions. All core features, background data models, and automations continue to process workflows but are running at a reduced speed.

Platform accessible but data and automations paused

You can fully log in, navigate the platform, and view existing dashboards normally, but back end processing is temporarily paused. During this window, background data refreshes, Object-Centric data pools, and automated Action Flows are suspended. While you can safely analyze your existing data, queued data extractions and background tasks will automatically catch up once backend services are restored.

Login disruption but background processing active

Although the platform’s user interface and login gateway are temporarily unavailable, the underlying execution engine remains fully operational. Your scheduled data extractions, background transformations, and automated Action Flows continue to run seamlessly behind the scenes. No business-critical workflows or automation triggers will be missed, though you will be unable to log in to view them until the front-end interface is restored.

Edits suspended

The platform and all existing data pipelines, visual dashboards, and live automated Action Flows continue to run seamlessly in the background. However, the ability to create, edit, or update system assets, such as modifying data connections, publishing Studio packages, or editing Knowledge Models, is temporarily suspended. You can safely view, navigate, and analyze your current workspaces while our team completes the necessary underlying infrastructure updates.

Full service disruption

The Celonis Platform is temporarily unavailable, and users will be unable to log in or access any workspaces on the affected realm. All background data pipelines, scheduled transformations, and automated Action Flows are currently paused to protect system integrity.
