Analyzing the root causes of deviations
  1. Open your target model.

  2. Click Alignment Explorer alignment_explorer_button.png.

    The Alignment Explorer panel opens.

    Note

    The Alignment Explorer provides an overview of all variants for each object type, shows the individual steps in each variant and highlights any steps that are not in alignment with the defined process.

  3. Use:

    1. Refine variants to select the specific object type that you want to explore.

    2. Any deviation type to view variants belonging to specific deviation categories only.

    3. Any event type to view variants of a specific event type only.

  4. In the Variant Overview, see a summarized view of all variants that meet the criteria defined in step 3 including the:

    1. Total count of objects flowing through the selected variants (Objects).

    2. Percentage of the total objects that flow through each variant (Coverage).

    3. Average end-to-end throughput time of each variant (Avg TPT).

  5. Use the Variant Detail section to identify which types of deviations are occurring and when including:

    1. The sequence of steps that occur in the selected variant.

    2. Any steps that deviate from the defined path.

    3. The time between steps.
